Tinley Park Pics & Video

waspinator421 Oct 14, 2011 12:25 AM

The 10th anniversary NARBC Tinley Park show was a blast! Lots of neat animals, and met some cool people. There was a small handful of tables with Rainbow Boas, but nothing out of the ordinary. From what I saw, Trace Hardin and I were the only ones with something other than normals. Though I did get to see a juvenile albino CRB that another vendor I knew had delivered to him at the show. That was pretty sweet!

Being that I had a table to attend to, I didn't get as many pics as I would have liked, and my videos were taken rather hastily. But still... here is a bit to look at for those that couldn't make it.

The line:

My table:

Nigel Marvin came by and let us get a picture with him. He really liked a Milksnake I had for sale. What a treat to meet him!

Got to put a face to the name when I met Trace Hardin. He's got a smoking pair of Hypos he's holding back! And the tiniest little monkey frogs!

Some more random pics:

Loading up to leave, we barely squeezed all the stuff back into my little 2-door! I'm gonna need a tiny trailer for this thing next time, lol!!

This link will bring to the video I threw together. I would have liked to make it better, but with constantly having to get back to my table to help out I had to shoot what I could. It only covers a very small portion of the show.

I picked up two snakes while there, and they are both in the video. Can you guess what I brought home?

What did you end up bringing home? I hope it was that elephant trunk snake!

Hey Aubrey, cool pictures and video. You fit an amazing amount of stuff into your car. Loading it up must have been like playing Tetris

Really nice photos and excellent video quality. Lots of familiar faces there. Listening to people's conversations while you shot video was interesting. All those different and neat animals and people are just as fanatic about some of them as we are about Rainbow Boas.

Thank you Jeff! Yeah, I was tired of practically the only vids I could find on YouTube on reptile shows were nothing but Balls, and with music I couldn't stand to listen to dubbed over. I really enjoy hearing the sounds of the show.

Hopefully next year I'll be able to get much more of the show in my video.

I LOVED all the diff morelia at the show, and that black head python OMG!!!!!

waspinator421 Oct 16, 2011 09:52 AM

I was wondering where Bryan Hummel was.... he said he was going to be there but I didn't see him at all. I must have whizzed by his table too fast.

I brought some cups for you at the show... I guess we both forgot when you stopped by, lol!

hey was right next to the jewlery table. the start of the line for carpets on back wall. like basically right across from bruce @ twin city reptiles.

yeah i forgot about alot of things. too much excitement mixed with 3 hours sleep mixed with time limit and multiple things to fit into one day. it was just craziness.

Love the picture! Thanks for taking the time to talk to me, I really regret not taking those pearls home! What did you get at the show? All I took home was a piece of corkbark.

waspinator421 Oct 18, 2011 12:09 PM

The pearls are still here if you change your mind! A piece of corkbark? how boring! LOL!! Well, if that is all you needed...

I picked up a pair of pied black pines from Mike Bodner. They are so cool, and have already eaten for me. Hopefully I'll get individual pics of them soon.
