My ackies wont eat crickets...

SweViktor Oct 02, 2003 05:04 AM

Hi!

I bought 0.0.2 varanus acanthurus about a month ago. They are very interesting! One of my absolute favorite lizards.
But I have a problem.. They wont eat crickets =/
They feed aggresivly on grashoppers and mealworms, but they just turn their heads away from crickets and roaches.. I would realy like them to start feeding on crickets, because they are cheeper and much easier to keep than grasshoppers...
What should I do??

Viktor

I'd just let them go hungry for about a week... Almost guaranteed they'll make the switch if you wait long enough.

In the meantime - stop feeding them grasshoppers.
