Just a few suggestions while using these bulbs. Keep handling to a minimum, you want to screw in the bulbs without touching the glass bulb itself. Something with the oils on her hands that cause hot spots on the bulbs, Another would be to hang it over the enclosure if your using an 8inch dome, best bet is to get a 10 inch dome this way even if you choose to rest it on the screen top the bulb itself does not touch the screening. The less handling the less likely the bulb will bang aroung or be dropped. Yes, even with the higher price these bulbs are quite fragile. I got more life out of my bulbs just screwing them in once and hanging them over my glass tanks, and with the melamine once you screw them in there is no reason to touch them at all. Good Luck these bulbs are the best but a bit fragile. I know figures right? just be cautious not to bang them or drop them. Make sure if your bulbs came with a warranty card you send that into zoomed. If you did not receive one in you box save the receipt this way if something goes wrong you got proof of when you bought them. Personally I've used them for over a year now with a few problems overall but they cannot be beat by any fluorescent bulbs by far in my opinion these are the best once you got them set up in a way you don't have to change fixtures often and keep handling to a minimum. Good Luck. Hope you find them as good as I have. Matthew
