Corn Snake!

Muscy_Mel Oct 02, 2003 09:28 AM

My sister has got a Corn Snake, it's 4 months old.
She brought it about 2-3 weeks ago and it fed 3 times in the first week on pinkies. But it hasn't eaten for the last week, although we have tried to feed it twice since with pinkies.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to why it could not be eating?
I know that snakes can go for lenghs of time without food, but any help would be appreciated. Also, do we need to feed it any supplements along with any food that it eats in the future.

1st and most likely- its going to shed

2nd possibility- temperatures are dropping for fall in the northern hemisphere- hibernation time like it or not

3rd possibility- stress introduced to snake (environmental or overhandling)...

don't worry, sounds like the little guy or gal is a robust eater who is probably taking a pre-shedding ciesta...
