Bali Reptile Rescue is involved in several programmes
Most of these are in and around Bali involving Relocation Rescue Rehabilitation and Education
But we also do work in Papua
Although most people think Chondros are from PNG most of the names are from Iryan Jaya or as it is known now Papua eg Sarong Biak Mankwari Aru etc etc
Most Boelins have been located in Papua
If anyone is interested in getting into several areas where White people have seldom ventured maybe we can assist you in this by arranging permits etc etc
Our next trip is only in a few days time
But we will be back and forth several times over the next few months
Our trips will be into some pretty nasty country with worse weather
I tend to avoid the nastier bits now as the rainforest mountains are mountains and there are no trails on some of them
Accommodation is worse than basic even in some of the towns/villages after we leave Bali
In Bali you can have 5 star if you want it or we can find you whatever you want at whatever your budget runs to
No budget is cool if you dont mind sleeping on our floor
The work will be reptile surveys, Relocations and rescues; setting up sustainable harvesting of wild stock, setting up reptile farms and teaching villagers that reptile lovers will pay guides to look at wild reps.
If interested we will arrange good guides to take you into Komodo Country around Flores but probably we wont go there again with you
We also have excellent contacts with the Diaks in Kalimantan and Banjarmasin Reptile Rescue
So arranging Orangutang trips and Ceremonial trips is simple for my Gf to do; but you would have to pay to do that
This is NOT a money making exercise
We simply need more hands on deck to help out at times
We are vehemently opposed to wild caught export so if you want to come to get wild caught contacts dont bother visiting us or we will lead you as wrong as we can
So if anyone wants to see the places their retics, burmese, chondros etc came from; and see how they live as nature intended feel free to drop in
Our next work is rescue and relocating reps from an area being developed in eastern Bali, mostly retics but always a few kraits and cobras etc too
So dont go to Florida to escape the cold
