Rhino Raxx users?

zippy00_99 Oct 28, 2011 01:33 PM

What are the pros and cons. The ONLY thing holding me back thus far is the mobility. I need to be able to move my racks around the room ...sort of frequently. They are on carpeting so I would befinately need them to be on wheels. Anyone have wheels on their rhinos? I really want to upgrade from homemade to some (reasonably priced) more professional ones. The Rhino price has my attention, but the only thing is the mobility issue...anyone?

Thanks

I have had zero problems with my rhino razz, in fact I am about to place an order for 2 more. Mine are on tile so I just slide them to where I need them. If I were you I would go to home depot or lowes and buy 4 large swivel casters. You can then build a frame out of 2 by 4's. Then skin it with a piece of plywood and attach the casters. You will have a rolling platform to put the rack on top of. Make sure the caster wheels are 3" or bigger so they roll on the carpet well. Hope this gives you some ideas.

carpet...wheels...not sure about that combo

I had cement and no wheels...they didn't move

RhonoRaxx...Ballroom Raxx....4 box unit...34 inch long box...great product...nice raxx...nice size...82 pounds per unit...(4)....stacked 3 unit high....246 pounds...add 12 snakes at 3 pounds to 5 pounds each...add 12 water bowls at 4 pounds each plus...add a pound of aspen.....add a piece of cork for hide,rubbing on....

the weight adds up...they won't move well I'd bet,....

you may not be able to move them around ..stacked 3 high...

....good luck....take out carpet and don't move them;..

I loved my Rhinos....!!!!!!!

great raxxx........

i agree with you 6 wheels will be better on the 36" raxx. i wouldnt go more than 2 units high either. it also depends on the carpet. is it low pile berber or tall pile shag carpet. i believe the 4" caster can support 50 lbs each.
