Albino cali morph?

gizzy20001 Oct 28, 2011 10:09 PM

recently I acquired this young Cali female in trade and was curious what morph this is, the body is almost a purple/gray with yellow belly/sides and broken stripe. we named her "Route 66" because he back looks like an old 2 lane highway. the odd thing is unlike my other Albino Banded Cali, this one had blue/gray eyes. any thoughts? when she is big enough I have hopes of breeding her to the albino male, but I also have a nice 50/50 black and white, or I dare say may a hybrid clutch someday.

Doesn't look like a hybrid at all......

Looks like a lavender or a blue eyed blonde......what color are the eyes? All ruby red? Or blue and ruby red?

eyes are blue gray iris dark pupil, my other albino had vibrant red eyes, and the hybrid idea was just a future idea as I have other kings/milks all males, she is my only female. I get the idea breeders hold back the females more than males

She is a very nice looking lavender or hypoish Cal king!

No need to create hybrids with her. Just breed her to your Cal king males!

She is very nice!

OK no hybrids, I have 2 potential future mates for her that are her own species. I only had the idea after seeing some amazing looking imperial pueblans. I'll keep pure animals pure... but you have to admit some of those are stunning animals.

Oh, I hear ya. Hybrids can be pretty, but the affects of hybridization are nothing but destructive to the hobby, and are nothing but perversion of what is normal.

She is really cool. I like her patterns. She would produce for you some really cool Cal kings!

Well, it should be a Blue eyed Blond by the way you described it. A BEB is almost identical to a lavender except for the color of the eyes.

Take that Lavender cal king and breed it to a Ghost cal king and produce double hets (Lavender & Ghost).....breed back the babies and get that 1/16 that shows both Lavender and Ghost (Pink Pearl Ghost cal king) at the same time.
