Snow bull snake genetics question

murdoch Oct 29, 2011 10:49 AM

Not sure what is in a snow bull.
What traits are dominant simple recessive or co dominant
White sided?
A melanistic?

I got a female adult recently and plan to breed to a regular? Male in spring.
Not sure if I would get normal looking het babies or some variations from dominant co dom in snow
Thanks
Winslow

They are simple recessive traits.

Old school Snows are Albino and Whitesided genes.

Lavender Snows are Albino and Axanthic genes.

If you breed a Snow to a normal(that is not het for anything) you would get all normals that are double het.
