types of branches for boa enclosure?

DMD Nov 04, 2011 04:54 PM

I was going to add a few large(48-60" long ) grapewood pieces to my male sharp albinos enclosure, but shipping was going to kill me I live in illinois and was wondering if anyone from the midwest uses local branches in their cages, after obviously sterilizing them. I kinow cedar is a no-go i can easily get branches from maples and oak trees would these work.

Yes you can just strip all the bark off of the branch. Then wash the branch with liquid Sevin. Its a bug killer you can buy at any home improvement store. Then wash the branch with a 50% bleach solution rinse good and let it dry good in the sun before using. http://www.lowes.com/pd_94566-75441-S7101_0__?productId=3267585&Ntt=sevin&pl=1¤tURL=/pl__0__s?Ntt=sevin&facetInfo

Take care
Tom
