I love the way the colors and pattern change on these guys from one end to the other, their amazing appetite and feeding response, and their size and disposition. Not only my favorite Pits, but my favorite snakes overall.

They are Sept 2009 hatch, so they are just a little over 2 years old. The male is about 5 1/2 feet long and the female is around 5 feet. Both are a little thicker than my wrist and I'm a pretty heavy guy (220). They easily take 4 small rats or 5 chicks at a meal. They are just amazing!

Those are good sizes for two year olds! I have three 2011 hatchlings from that region (two from Illinois and one from Indiana). Looking forward to their development and am inspired by yours. Thanks!

Very cool Michael! I can just tell that they have gotten much bigger since the last time I saw them! Man they are really impressive. Looking forward to seeing them again soon.
