Sort of reminds me of some "caramel-ish" looking attributes!

thats something ive thought as well, i plan on breeding her to a caramal at some point to test that out but i think im going to try to keep it more basic at first to just see if she genetic.

did anything ever come out of the hypermelanistic Miami on your site?

DMong Nov 13, 2011 10:49 AM

I really wish I had kept her long enough to have bred her to a few different snakes to find that out, but unfortunately I didn't at the time. Ithink there could have been some very interesting stuff produced with her.

I certainly remember that she was homozygous for "nasty attitude" though..LOL!..

ive had a few little projects that i wish i haddent let go as well,

ive heard that with a little carefull breeding and maby a hook in the mean time you can breed that out of them.

DMong Nov 13, 2011 03:43 PM

Yeah, but her attitude had absolutely nothing to do with why I never bred her though. I wouldn't have cared one tiny bit how nasty she was to be quite honest as long as her hypermelanism was introduced and propagated into other corns. It just didn't happen before I got rid of her was all.

Yes, I totally agree. The hook method certainly is a good way to take out nasty snakes and get them used to gentle handling without them being so deffensive about the "monster hand" of death swooping down on them to do them harm, and I actually tell people this quite frequently...
