I asked before but..

1nstinct Nov 16, 2011 11:39 PM

I asked before if my male 100%het albino who's is about 9 years old is to old to breed and everyone said no he could breed as long as he healthy. I decided I'm going to pick up an albino female(baby). So my question is since the female woulnt be able to breed for a few years and the male could be like 13 by then, and since he has been a pet and never near a female will that have a possible effect on his breeding?
Thanks in advance
Tom

Tom,

These are hypothetical questions and the true answer can only be obtained by trying the breeding.

Something to consider: I'm sure you could get another het albino male for next to nothing or included free with the purchase of an albino female. This young male would be your back up.

Alternatively, investing in a codominant male het albino would be inexpensive as well.

You have lots of inexpensive options to accomplish making albinos in the event that your older male doesn't perform..... if that is your goal.

Best of luck to you.

Is a 50yr old woman too old to bear a child? Is Holly Madison carrying Hugh Heffners baby? Only one way to find out!

Why don't you spend the $400 and buy an adult het female.

Pick up a baby albino female, and to keep the male I have as a pet because I also have to paperwork on him so i don't fully know if he is 100% het albino. And then pick up a 100% het albino or albino in a year(or the
Next show I go too). The only reason I really want to breed albinos more than any other type of morph is because it was the first ball python I ever held and I still think they are one of the nicest looking Morphs out there. Thanks everyone for the help I'll post picks of the things I pick up at the show.
