shedding

mandora Oct 02, 2003 02:37 PM

I have a quick question, couldn't find it on any of the care sheets. My new beardie just went through a shed (is actually in the process of removing leg and feet skin as I type this) and he hasn't eaten at all today, and very little yesterday. Is this normal? I know with other herps it is, just wanted to make sure that I shouldn't be too concerned.
thanks!!

Mine always ate no matter what, but i've heard others say their beardies go off feed and can get moody when shedding.

my babes will eat no matter when the shed or not...because they do it soo frequently..but spike my adult gets really cranky the day before all his shed starts coming off.. he won't eat..gives me nasty looks ..he is a real grump when he does a full body shed.. i suppose its because it doesn't happen very often and its uncomfortable..like being in really small jeans.
