Who's up for a trip to PA? I'd love a couple of Rattlesnakes. Cobras though... not for me. At least with Rattlesnakes our local hospital carries Crofab if I were to get bitten.

The media is full of both!!! I'm sooo sick of the media trying to attack our business. Of course, if we didn't have idiots enabling these knuckleheads......UGH!!!!!!!

I don't know who I wanna take out back of the woodshed more.... The jerks that did the story, or the jerk that sold them the animal and told that stupid story to them. If that would've been my table they came to, well lets just say they're lucky they didn't.....

HOT's should be regulated. you should need a permit or a license to have them. too many idiots out there, this way it could limit them from making this industry look worse to the general public

Why is everyone so quick to jump on the permit/license bandwagon? Does this keep the uneducated from buying them? It's a way for the state/local/federal governments to collect money, nothing more. If they actually did some sort of screening, perhaps tested or made you prove somehow that you were capable and knowledgable enough to handle them, then fine! That would do the proper job! But that's not the way any of it is set up. You walk into your local fish and wildlife licensing entity (in Texas that can be your local WalMart), get the license for $50, or whatever the low price, and then presto! You're magically able to buy that dangerous animal. IF you're going to do this, make the person prove their knowledge and prove that they have the proper caging/housing, then issue the license. Any other way is just another form of taxation....

...permits just leads to troubles....they won't stop...once the permit thing is in place...they'll add species...large snakes...huge snakes...certain possibly hot snakes...and lizards...Big lizards...then turtles that may or may not be able to live in a state near you....then...they do it...they'll add corns , garters and queen snakes to the list....Bam...totally regulated....down to the last goldfish bowl....!

....as said...permitted idiots still own hots...

....permits slow down sales...noone would breed hots..wait..some would...the people that actually should...for the love ....even if they have to just feed all the hatchlings to the Ophidiophagus hanna hatchlings....or that occasional savanah monitor.....???

.....people cheat at tests....

....it's just that they'll never stop...fearing snakes of all types and sizes....we are surrounded by snake haters...

yes but even if they cheat on the test that requires some effort, it will discourage some that shouldn't own them.
