New Alterna and such...

a153fish Nov 21, 2011 02:31 PM

These first two are East Sanderson males from Shannon, and the third snake is a generic female.

These are some highlights from this years Floridana I produced. There's more but these were the cooler ones. Next year will be much more exciting!

These last two are a pair of pointy nose Milk snakes I got from Jimmy! I love um!

Hey Jorge. All very cool! I really like that generic alterna. Did she come from Shannon too? Really like the pointy nose milks too...and the floridanas... Dave.

The generic was from someone else. PM me if you want to know, he may still have some? His line are smokin!

I asked because I thought you were looking for one? Some one was asking about some killer Blairs, can't remember who it was. Mike has killer Alterna for sure, but this female was from some one else. That second male E. Sanderson was dead this morning, I was a bit bummed about that, but luckily I have a second one. The one that died was my wifes favorite, I haven't told her yet. I'll wait till after TG. I did notice he looked a little sluggish yesterday, oh well.

Not the best pics, cause they were squirmy, and the female is in shed.

is that a new one? Red milk isn't it? I know some of the milks can look similar.

It's a Calvert County locale temporalis (Coastal plains milk) I had back in the early 90's.

Yes, they get confused with Red milks (syspila) quite often Jorge.

St. Mary's coastal perhaps? Nice.

DMong Nov 22, 2011 07:32 PM

Thanks!,.........very CLOSE Joe-Joe!..

early 90's Calvert County I got from Geoff Thornton of "Got Milks?"

He had some killer stuff of all kinds back then. He had some of the smokinest "apricot" Pueblans in that time period too.

Doug, do you still keep any coastals? Calverts are actually my favorites. I like the crisp white and heavy black boarders they tend to have. I have seen a few photos of some Worchester animals that have the same look. Smokin!!

Joe

DMong Nov 23, 2011 12:14 AM

No, I haven't had any for many years, but I have to agree, they are very cool animals!!

Man, that pueblan is a screamer too! As far as the red milk comment made above---They kind of are red milks---IMO. Boy, this could start some stuff up huh?

GONE FISHING!!!

DMong Nov 23, 2011 12:29 AM

Thanks Joe. Yeah, I sifted through a big bucket full of those things and could hardly make up my mind on which pair I wanted they were all so dang awesome looking and colorful!..LOL!

I agree, VEEERY syspila looking indeed!. I have never been able to see much in the way of Eastern triangulum in these things myself, but the range says it isn't real probable..LOL!

Very possibly isolated relict populations from syspila x elapsoides intergradation when the country and ranges were far different long, LONG ago..

What's really weird about those things is that there is no distinct swath of intergrade phenotypes anywhere, just a few pockets here and there of their own entity......weird!

That generic is real cool. Are those last two tri-color hoggies or ?

a153fish Nov 21, 2011 05:32 PM

>>That generic is real cool. Are those last two tri-color hoggies or ?

Yeah they are hoggies! I've wanted some for years. The generic female came from a line of killer Blairs. I saw pics of the parents and the siblings. They all come out super light and bright. She will make a great match for my blue 277. The female I have for him now may have some problems. Time will tell, so I wanted to get a back up started.
