I've seen some great pics recently some in particular by Peter or georgie. You camera is great and as of yet I have never seen a bad pic from it. I was just wondering for those who get great, natural true to color pics of babies of what kind of cameras you guys use, and if you don't mind a round about answer of about how much it did cost you. An Example close up pics with the camera's name would be greatly appreciated. Last year I picked up a Canon a40 2.1 mega pixels with a macro mode, for the price it is excellent and I am happy with it, but some of the ones you take are absolutely beautiful, and clear. If it cost you more then 420 hundred sorry but that is a bit out of my price range, but if you could post how many mega pixels, and if they have a macro mode that would be appreciated even if your not willing to share a round about price you paid. Thanks so much Matthew

My camera is an Olympus D-510 zoom w/macro
I think I bought it for 299.00 just after Christmas. That's the time to buy..It was 100.00 off.
I'm sure even cheaper now..

I use a Nikon Coolpix 5700. It is a wonderful camera but I would hope so seeing as I paid $1200 for it. I'm sure they are much less expensive now however. Thanks for the compliments about the pictures. I've been quite an erratic poster lately so sorry if I've missed any posts. I just saw the pictures of the pastel Reiko sent you...she's gorgeous!

That sure is a great camera. I thought this one I bought last year would be all I needed to post a few dragons for sale on the classifieds, but now unfortunatly I think I'm going to need an upgrade for the type of close up pics I need for small baby dragons. Glad you saw this post though cause that camera takes such clear pictures. Don't know if I can afford that one inperticular but i need something better then what I bought last time. The one I bought is great for some pics or certain lighting and in others it is not so good, but for the money I paid for it it is very good. Thanks for the response. Matt

I do like Canons. Actually what I'm using now is the Canon powershot A40. It is a very good camera, and I've taken great pics with it so far, but I just don't know how it will do with such small objects. It does have a macro mode which is just great for taking those close ups, but have you seen some of the pics people take of their hatchlings? They are so clear and as far as I can tell very true to color. Maybe if I read my manual for the A40 I could take pics like that too who knows lol. I just saw some great clear pics every now and then that I wish I could take myself. I'm basically looking for a new one for the close ups of the babies. I want them to be as true to life as possible. No yellow tinting, or blurriness. Thanks Rea

A digital slr will take the best pics, but they start at 900 or so for the canon digital rebel. Here is a link to a few of mine with a canon 10d.
Bearded pics click on a pic and then on a size to view.
