Biting

imjustheather Nov 30, 2011 03:31 PM

Hi all, I was wondering if it was normal for ball pythons to bite a lot during mating season? I've never had this problem before and I'm not trying to breed them.

Um... not that I know of. I've had my snakes for 4 years and their personality doesn't change much more than refusing meals every now and then. In fact the female I'm breeding this year is usually very aggressive but is actually calming down!

Is there something like bright lights, or high traffic in the room the cage is placed that may be pushing his stress levels into defensive mode?
