I still see a few around like that, and some with much more obvious West Coast influence.

An albino did turn up from kingsnakes collected on Florida's west coast, but I meant the West Coast, USA.

I hate to burst your bubble about what early lavenders looked like back then. But that is not even an lavender albino. It is a SNOW. A double homozygot.

There were a few snows floating around back then. Thing is people didn't know they were snows. They just thought they were cool looking whitish lavender amels. They had no reference to what a snow looked like. But yes they did pop up occasionally and people never dared to think it might be a double homozygot. LOL!.

Don't feel bad i owned the first axanthic rosy boa i caught in Borrego back in the 80's and didn't know it was anery until a couple decades later. I had it for 10 years.

....you posted exactly what I wanted you to. Thanks.
Hate to burst your bubble dude.....but I know it was a snow.....and that also means it is an albino, correct?... only a 2x homozygot as you stated...
Not many knew they were snows for sure.
