Possible mental problem? lol

stevebp Dec 01, 2011 01:48 PM

I recently purchased a female lesser and I noticed that she's
always in the water bowl. I checked her for mites and I found none and she's not in a shed cycle. The temp is 85 deg on the warm side and the water bowl is on the other side in her tub. She eats well and looks healthy. Any suggestions on why she thinks she's an anaconda and stays in her water bowl all the time? Does anyone have any similar experience's?
Thanks,
Steve

Is there anywhere else to hide?

The enclosure is probably too large fore you ball. They like to squeeze into tight places (to feel secure). Provide multiple hides (in both hot & cool sides of cage) or a smaller enclosure. Or just more stuff so it doesn't feel exposed.

There is not a hide box in with her, she is in a shoebox rack and she has not shed yet. She is the only one that soaks in her bowl. I will try a hide in with her. Thanks for the help.
