Found something very interesting today..

So, it was bath time for the little het pied we snagged for 40 bucks at the november reptile show. He was TINY when we got him and I'm am not 100% sure but I think he may actually be a VERY VERY low low low pied. Check out the pictures below! Thoughts and opinions are very much appreciated!

Also, directly above the patch we found, there are about 3 white scales.

Please excuse:
1. our carpet looks like...err... body hair of sorts with the macro lens on the digital camera
2.Yes, that's a pine needle. We just got our xmas tree yesterday XD

He's not a pied. Breeders know what to look for on snakes they breed especially if it could be a $700-$800 mistake. Hets of any recessive usually have lots of blushing, plus from what I can see of the belly it doesn't look like a pied. Still a great looking snake and hopefully you can produce your own pied with him someday. Good luck. Chris Hall

The pattern would be much different if it were a pied I have seen half a snake that was white with a normal pattern its still a ringer

Pieds usually have some amount of white but also have a distinct looking pattern. If you have to use a macro lense, chances are, it is not a Pied. I hope you get some Pied babies one day...
