MAKING A FALSE BOTTOM AND PVC PIPE QUESTION

UrbanAssault Oct 02, 2003 06:24 PM

I thought I had everyhting figured out and ready to start building but I thought of one last question. For my false bottom I am using eggcrate and pvc tube to support the bottom. Once the water starts dripping into the false bottom wont it fill up my pvc pylons with water without a place for the water to escape? Should I drill holes in the pvc pipe so that water will have a place to go?

Yeah, or turn the pvc sideways. Are you going to drill the bottom of the tank to drain?

I am drilling the bottom and runnign a overfill pipe up through the hole. This pipe will lead to my sump, which will house my filter and return pump. The return pump will take the water back to the waterfall/stream feature.
