Is something wrong with my snake's head?

darkserpent213 Dec 08, 2011 11:38 AM

I hate to double post, but the Dumeril's boa forum is running at a snail's pace. I have had my female dumeril's boa for over 11 years now and never really had the chance to compare her to other Dumeril's. So lately i've been looking up many pics online of them and noticed mine has a little bulge on the top of her head, right between the eyes. Its not hard or anything, but I just noticed that many other Dumeril's head is flatter there compared to hers. You can really see it in the third pic.

I'm sure she's fine. It looks pretty much like a nose rub that's
further up between her eyes. Most likely there is something in
her cage that she pushes on with her nose and it causes
a little bump.

If it becomes more inflamed or raw then it will need attention.

That would be my guess, so as long as she eats sheds and poops she's doing good in my book.

She eats and poops like a champ...lol. She has never refused food in the past 11 years. If you look close at it, the scales don't look irritated at all. It just feels like there is something fatty in there. But it doesnt seem to bother her..I just wanted to know if anyone seen this before. Im sure she is fine.
