Boa ID

I just saw a new posting over in snakes-what kind? forum about a boa that the owner is unsure about... got me thinking I have no clue what species mine are either. I know they don't show any red in the tails and actually look alot like the one the other person posted pictures of. please excuse the nature of the photos of my snakes, but it's what I do with my snakes.

the photographer's cameras are way better than my cell phone for getting a good image, and I do realize in one of the pictures the male boa has a nasty scar on his head, he came to me with that as a rescue and has fully healed.

Interesting, boa pics...err, yeah.

Looks to me like "typical" Colombian Boa c. imperator to me.

is it common for them to not have the reddish markings on the tails at this size? I have only had them since this summer so I have no idea what they looked like as babies

Yeah, that's pretty common. The tail color fades into adulthood.
