so many of you know i had a boa litter this past summer. the pairing was a male possible super salmon jungle to a female normal.
here's the female:
nothing special, really. not particularly "nice". simply a normal
the male turned out to be simply heterozygous salmon jungle - which is actually what i wanted anyway - but despite his lack of crazy aberrancies:
...he threw some WICKED aberrant babies:
i am at least somewhat convinced that this has alot to do with the OTHER half of the pairing - although i really have no way to prove it and am not even close to figuring out what to look for in a mate that would increase the aberrancies, but there were also some NOT so crazy aberrant jungles in the litter (very "classic" jungles in fact):

there were also some "possible" jungles in the litter. all of them but one i have sold simply as "normals" or "salmons", but there's one girl that seems to be exactly that: a POSSIBLE jungle. and of course she's a salmon
i am confident that she is in fact a jungle - albeit a VERY low expression one - but others aren't so convinced. of course my pictures suck and don't pick up what i'm actually seeing, but she has the penciled saddle outlines (although they're faint), and she does have some of that "classic" jungle coloration (although it's hard to tell with the salmon mutation involved). she also has some "floating saddles".

but once she shed, it was harder to tell:
in fact many who have seen these pictures do NOT believe she is a jungle.
i think that if mom had been cleaner it wouldn't be so hard to ID this girl, but it is what it is 
so this is what i'm going to do: i'm going to keep her.
when she is of-age to breed, i'm going to breed this "low expression" salmon jungle (as i am confident she is) - and not to another jungle. i'm going to breed her to a nice normal i think (although i have plenty of time to change my mind!). i am curious to see A) if she'll prove to be a jungle, and B) what kind of jungle babies she'll throw.
i suppose if nothing else i'll have a litter full of VERY colorful babies
