Flea powder and snakes

kingofspades Dec 09, 2011 03:20 PM

My cats have fleas, so we treated them with Frontline. Now we are treating our carpets with flea powder. The question is...should I move the snakes and rodents out of my bedroom before treating the carpet? It's not a bomb, and they won't have direct contact with it. It's...carpet powder.

Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I banked on the safe side and moved everyone out.

ive heard many bad story's about flea powder and snakes. i wont even let my wife use anything like that in the house. keep us informed of any reactions if they occur or even if nothing happens. we dont get that many fleas since we got rid of our cat. the dog gets a few but we treat him, so not many.
if i were you since its already done i would take all your water bowls and wash and clean them thoroughly. all new fresh water and maybe even change the bedding.

Ended up doing all that. Figured since I have the snakes out of the tubs, might as well replace everything. Once it settles into the carpet and is vacuumed, it's not a problem. It's applying it...gets in the air.
