Treating for Parasites

hicksonj Oct 02, 2003 07:12 PM

I have a pair of wild caught kahlua & cream auratus adults, and one is kinda skinny. I have had them for 4-5 months. I would like to treat both for parasites to be careful. I used parazap for my reptiles and it works great. It ups their appetite and cleans out any parasites.

I hit send by mistake... sorry.

Here is my basic question: Is parazap appropriate for darts?

i wouldnt recommend just getting a parasite medicene that 1) might not be for use with dart and 2) more then likely isnt for the appropriate parasite. I would recommend geting a fecal sample and sending it to Dr. Frye. although i do not have his email address on hand. ask around some one here has it, i think kyle does.

I obtain all of my meds from Dr. Frye. He is very helpful and really knows what he is doing. His email is Dr.Frye@comcast.net
Best of luck!

I have to agree, Dr. Frye is great. I just got my meds for one of my Azureus, and he took time out of his busy day to answer my e-mails, and even take my call when I called to pay for the meds.

We have a friend who swears by Parazap (she has bearded dragons). I sent our vet, Dr. Frye, a sample of the stuff and all the literature and contacts I could find.

He contacted the company & didn't like what he saw. From what he was able to tell me Parazap has to be ingested, and works as a laxative.
