What's the best and safest way to eliminate mites?
Thanks,
Steve

Never tried it, but i've heard to use 1 tube of Nix or Rid lice treatment per gallon of water (mixed well) and it kills the mites. You can put some in a tub and bath your snake in it and put the rest in a spray bottle and spray the enclosure. Anyone ever use this method? Chris Hall

I had a brek out several years ago and what I did was:

Break down every tub, throw away anything wooden and put collection on newspaper after I......
Sprayed all tubs with "Black Night" outside, sprayed a towel and wiped down snake
Cut a small square of "NO PEST STRIP" and put it in a film canister or pill bottle with small wholes drilled in it and place in each tub.
Took a long time but had 15 snakes at the time but never had a second hatch of mites...now I keep a can of "Black Night" and about 6 packs of "No Pest Strips" in stock. I would hate to get an outbreak now with over 100 snakes...
Good Luck
Travis
