I was looking through some old photos tonight and found this one of a male Crumbley red bull I had a few years back. He was a beast to watch out for when the scent of rats was in the air. lol
I remember opening his cage door one day when I had some friends over. When I opened the door he came flying out with his mouth wide open. Two of the poeple I had with me in the room literally ran out the door.

ha-ha! randy, i have a big crumbley x stillwater female that does the same thing. she'll come flying at me so fast when the door opens that she actually lands on the floor sometimes. it is a bit unnerving even to experienced keepers...

I hear you. I've got a list of snakes I think of that I wish I hadn't gotten rid of.

i had a black pine female, sweet as pie, until she could smell what was for dinner. Getting the meal into her enclosure was a trick. She would come flying out with a purpose- not reckless- she knew what she was aiming for. As long as I wasn't in the way...

because of that I had "trained" most of my pits to eat inside a hide box but it didn't always work lol.

Good days, for sure.

What a fine red bull!
My bulls just sit there until I pick them up to put them in their feeding tubs. They so far have not scared anybody, but I guess there is a first time for everything.
