Here's the board I found that king under. This photo was taken the fallowing spring. This place is sitting in a little valley between the hills and holds a lot of moisture. As you can see from the photo, it stays green here well after the hills dry out. When I first found this spot, I found a Cal king shed under a board and thought it would be a good spot to check out after it rained. It turned out to be a pretty good spot. I've found several Cal kings at this site, most being juveniles.
