Gen Breeding Question 2

KingDome Dec 23, 2011 02:25 PM

Second Question:

I have a (lampropeltis getula californae) High White Stripe. When I got him, at two month he was all white. He is a one and a half years old now and completely yellow. It started on his head, when down his neck and now to the tip of his tall. So, my question is. How do I purchase a high white and know if it will stay white or not?

The only sure way is to buy from a breeder you trust or know for sure what the parents looked like. Which again brings you back to someone you trust again. Guess I'm the only one on tonight, lol.

There is white on Cal kings and tghen THERE IS WHITE!

The only Way to tell is if you compare him to other high whites.

If you put some that stay white as adults next to others when they are both babies. You can tell a difference.

basically w/o experience of the trained eye..it would be hard to tell.
