Great pics of a beautiful snake!
So much color to look at if you simply sit and stare at her. One cool thing I noticed as well was the color of her eyes. It is like what it would possibly look like if a planet moved in front of the sun. You can see the fire all around the edges. Really cool effect!!

To give you some perspective, the snake is inside an empty paper towel roll. The blur caused by the f/5.6 stop effectively makes the outer rim of the roll invisible in the first photo. I wanted to highlight the snakes face and that I accomplished.
