Ok...I've been seeing ALOT of new feces, er, faces ( since I've been back in the scene (nearly a year without online access). I would like for everyone to post their locale, any interesting info about yourself, pics of yourselves (nothing obscene) so we can place a face to the names. I'm 25 years young, reside in NE Kentucky (Ashland area), and have a beautiful family consisting of a wife, Jessica and 3 month old son, Andrew. A picture of me can be seen here: http://www.angelfire.com/ky/MagicWand/BillSN.jpg
This was taken back in '98 during my college years. When my new Nikon arrives on Monday, I'll take a more up to date shot of me and my fam and lots and lots of frog phot's!! So...go ahead, spit those fruitflies out and share something about yourselves here!

I also live in Kentucky, but more south in Danville. I have a reptile business, but I especially love exotics frogs. I am 23, married and have a 15 month old son. Do you ever go to the Shelbyville reptile show?

I live in Canton, Nc, which is about 20 miles west of Asheville, NC. Mountainous region with summer temps of 80 to 85 and 50 at night to winter temps of 30 to 35 day and night. Doesnt get too hot or really too cold, although I think I've been around reptiles and tarantulas too long, I need warm weather. I keep my house around 72 anyway, so all my animals are kept around 75 or more naturally (ambient temp, lights, etc...). I have a wife and 2 children, Austin is 5 and Jonathan is 3.5 weeks old. Little babies are the most interesting creatures, but I dont think I want a collection of those. Just this one, no more. Too much crying and smelly poop. I like tarantulas, reptiles, and amphibians - not much smell, if any (no noise too!). Nasty smells are bad.

My wife and I own a pet store. Now, before you hiss at me, it is a small town pet store, with over 20 different species of tarantulas (Swifts inverts!), and I'm planning to set up a 150 Extra Tall tank in the store for Dart Frogs with a huge tree in it with a few drip walls, humidifier plumbed and timed, and bromeliads and ferns galore. I dont know as much as a few of these other people, but I'm learning fast reading everything I can. These frogs are so interesting.

Sorry for the long post. Verbal Diahrrea.

My name is Adam Burnley,
I am 21, love to snowboard. I did not go to Columbine but had friends there. Currently in college, graduate this year. Have been involved with dart frogs for about 1.5 years. Own 3.0 azureus 1.2 leucomelas and 0.0.4 tincs. The Colorado Dart Frog society and all its members are excellent.

guppygal Oct 03, 2003 04:53 PM

I'm one of your newer frog addicts - haven't seen very many Houstonians yet, but I'm still looking (hi, Neal!). My hubby and I aren't so young anymore and all of our kids are furry and four-legged. We get to live with 2 Australian Shepard pups (1 1/2yrs old and lucky to live this long), 4 indoor cats and 1 outdoor cat.

We have nearly finished our vivarium - 150 gallon tank that was busted when we bought it for $25. If you don't mind wading through all my pix, ya'll can see it here: http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/kbarr@swbell.net/lst?.dir=/My Photos - click on 'Vivarium'. Check back often for updates.

Thankya, kindly, sir!

Check back often - we're nearly finished with the hood. The froglets will be arriving on Tuesday - I'm so excited. I have my fruitflies ready to go. Do you know of any place local that sells pinheads?

seeya!

NealH Oct 04, 2003 10:06 PM

The only place I know of that sells pinheads is Char's, but I bet Pets-A-Plenty does too, since they carry darts as well. They also usually have hydei cultures, so if you get in a bind, they can usually help. Where are you getting your frogs from?
