Have New Rescue Iguana Need Some Help.

OneTwoManyHerps Oct 02, 2003 09:41 PM

Hello everyone I've owned one green igg and have a second one sitting in my room, but today my old Biology teacher called and told me he was givein an iguana and wanted me to come and check her out. I went and there is the little over 3' green ig that looks almost 100% health except that the cage is unsuitable and has a resperatory infection. Anyways 1 1/2 hrs later we decided for me to take the ig. Right now the cage measures 2 1/2' deep X 3' Tall X 4' Wide. I am going to tip the cage onto side so it is 4 Tall X 3' Wide X 2 1/2' Deep. This summer with some extra cash I can find, I will be adding onto the cage or makeing a totally new one. I will be going to a reptile show in Chicago next weekend and will be purchasing a ton of products for my herps and two of them beeing merc. vapor bulbs for my igg and new igg! So any comments would help so that I can suite the iguana better. PS she is very feisty!

In small cages, the longest side should be horizontal. The ig will be able to move back and forth over a longer distance.
