2011 holdbacks and acquisitions

Dniles Dec 28, 2011 08:55 PM

Happy New Year to all. Here are a few holdbacks from this year and a few I picked up from fellow milk heads

Male Cosala Sinaloan - this is the best animal I have produced to date. Nice red cap, thin triads and very symmetrical banding.

A couple female Tyrrell county NC temporalis

a second female

Here is a 2010 male that photographed nicely as well

A pair of Montgomery County MD easterns

Male

Female

And a few acquisitions

Calvert County MD temporalis

Ocean county NJ temporalis

Syspila - so hard to capture this girl's color.

I hope you enjoyed!

Dave,
Those are all incredible milks. I really like the Calvert Cty milk. Who did you get that from? I'd like to add that locality to my collection in the future.
Your Cosala Sinaloans are hands down the best I have ever seen and are locality as well, which is definitely a big selling point to me.
The Tyrell county milks are pretty awesome too. Are they on pinks? Were they difficult to get started on rodents?
Think I've seen the Montgomery county L.t.t's somewhere before..........hmmmm, wonder who keeps them????

Hey Brad - yep the MD eastern adults I have were F1's from Joe Purdum and they produced for the first time in 2011.

The tyrrell babies are brats. The two I kept are not eating pinks on their own yet...but they will come around eventually.

I got that Calvert temporalis from Ted Thompson. He will be a nice compliment and some new blood to my hypo Calvert project

Holy [bleep]e, Dave! That spotted temporalis gets my juices flowing! What a looker. Any others from that cluch have the spotted pattern?

As for the sinaloae, how can you tell them apart from your Tyrell County temporalis?! Amazing red head on that male! Those are some nice syspila an MD animals, too! Quite the year, huh?

Thanks Cole! Sometimes I do mix up the Cosalas and the Tyrrell animals. lol

Alot of the Oceans seem to pop out spotted or semi-spotted or abberant. Many in the hobby likely have orignated from the striped/abberant line Carl Bartlett had.

Good chattin with ya today.

Wow! That male Cosala Sinaloan is incredible! What a fantastic red head. They're all great, but I also love that Ocean Cty. N.J. temporalis. Thanks for sharing the best pics in a while.

I'm seeing RED and I'm not mad at anyone. The opposite may be true, but that's why life has it's ups and downs. mike

PERFECT. That snake is perfect in every way. Deep red, nice, semi-thick black banding, gorgeous saddles...everything.

Great hold backs, all of them.

terryd Dec 30, 2011 07:42 PM

Nice group of tri-color snakes Dave.

The Cosala is incredible looking, and the syspila is a tough milk to get a good photo of, but you did a good job bringing her color out, and I like that you've caught the orange in her first whitish band.
Let's see the male he's much easer to bring his colors out in.

Dave:

As usual, your cosalas have me drooling. That male is perfect. When I rebuild my collection I must find a spot for a pair of those.
