"This Black Cap female 10 to 13 good eggs every year for the past 9 years .." ? What the heck do you feed them? Super mice?
Bred some for 6 years but feeding the babies "scented" pinks most of the time forced me to abandon the project. I just don't like keeping lizards for food / scenting. The ones that ate pinks right away were sold quickly in case they changed their minds.

Bred lizard feeders for nearly 2 decades now and rather enjoy the chalkenge.
If it were easy everyone would do it.......like BPs.
Oh sorry I just realized it was you that sold all of his colubrids to jump on the BP bandwagon.......lol
Now go follow the BP recipe for success and stop your mindless negativity.

Poor planning and procrastination on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

Why would they change their minds? "Oh, yuck, mice taste bad...I'm going back to lizards!" LOL!
I don't like feeding lizards to snakes, either, but a lizard must sometimes be sacrificed, if even the scenting wont cut it. A sure fire way to tell whether or not the baby snake should just be cooled instead is if it refuses a live lizard.

Being born

An adult colony.
I really like these humble little fence lizards. Of course you then have to raise crickets...

Raise roaches instead. They are a lot easier and don't stink.

My crickets don't stink. I raise Jamaican field crickets, domestic brown crickets, and native black field crickets. With routine cage cleaning and plenty of ventilation, they never stink. Stink is caused by dead ones and build up of filth. I have six 34 quart tubs and fourteen 12.7 quart tubs on high shelves in my cabin right now, everything from breeders to pinheads, and there is no bad odor.
I may try roaches, too, as a new thing. I like seeing what new critters I can propagate.

I use to breed them too. I hate crickets. One dead one would stink my garadge up. I like breeding my own food.

If I ever get the space to have another species, alterna that look just like her would be my choice. She is perfect!
