The Original Zero™

Sojourner Jan 01, 2012 10:27 PM

Yes, I have that little trademark symbol on my keyboard, too.  Not to be confused with the locality specific(German) Zero™ longicauda.

I produced this girl in 04. She is not longicauda or anery. I named her Zero as she was not counted as part of the viable babies produced, found in an opaque membrane, and first mistaken for a slug.....

She was raised slow. Her career has been followed by many with much anticipation. This was to be her first season to breed, but alas, she passed to circumstances beyond my control. At this point I have a pretty firm handle on heredity of the phenotype, and animals to continue the trait.

Once pinned down, I do plan on the morph keeping her namesake.

With all the hub bub below, I just wanted everyone to know about Zero, who came LONG before the patternless longicauda morph.

Thanks for looking. Have fun.

Jessee Van Atta...

Did you get the required certificate of authenticity from the one person on the planet with the legitimate authority to grant such a title on an animal? Without that certification, your animal is of course entirely fake. Not real! I don't care if you thought you produced and named that animal more than half a dozen years before the Chairman of the Board of Boa approvals jumped with both feet into hypocrisy.

In fact, now I highly doubt that you yourself even exist. I think that this, formerly spectacular animal that I coveted for years, as you know, has made a metamorphosis into oblivion. I thought that I met someone named Jesse Van Atta a couple times and several times I contemplated the acquisition of the fake Boa you named Zero. But now I realize all that was simply a dream. A figment of my wild imagination.

Now what I don't know is this; I have a reverse stripe Hypo Het Anery female downstairs that I obtained from you several years ago. Is that Boa in fact also fake and does not really exist? The reason I ask is I could really use the cage that I think she is in, for one of my other animals.

Thank you my imaginary friend!

Ok you got me, Jeff. I'm a fake. Zero was definitely a fake. And that girl you have will make for some of the fakest ghosts on the planet. It is all a dream filled with many unending variations within the boa complex, some certified by the great boa poobah, and some just as fake as they come..... But it is in my head, and I am wondering how you got here. Funny place, this. Welcome, sir.
