Yeah, we have big brains and invent remarkable things about why we are special..... but we are still just animals.

She is crying at the end..... we have become so "spoiled" that any little bitty thing hurts us or scares us.

The amount of real pain and suffering going on in this world and little baby people are scared of pleasant little snakes that did nothing???

That really is disgusting..... we walk down an aisle of a grocery store staring at "nice" packaged meat that was the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE. Connected to that package of Hamburger is a horror story just not being told.

But no one is crying in the Super Market....

Look at ANimal Planet..... They should be called ANIMAL PLANET SUCKS AND SOLD OUT TV..... they have shows where the animals are the drama and are expendable.

Humans, we live in our little plastic bubbles and if we get scared we cry and want to make sure our Govt. protects us from ANYTHING that may hurt us.

Don't worry about sharks in the ocean.... they are on the way out.

How about contestants camping out in one of NYC's large parks overnight and see what pops up or in, or better yet use any kind of centipede ( 100 or more should do it) for some real action?

one thing i'll say for the crying girl - she gummed them... doesn't make it right by any measure. they all should have refused to do the bit.

Hopefully this link below will work. If not, just Google Fear Factor to get to the official site then click on "Snake Bite" to get to the episode in question. There is then a place to click to Comment. So far just me and one other person have posted but with the help of the reptile community we can make our feelings known where it really counts. On the actual NBC website. If anyone has any other ideas of who to write to, please share. I'd like to do more to get them to stop the Animal Cruelty or better yet get the show cancelled for good and possibly even get legal action taken against them for the cruelty. I haven't even been able to watch the entire clip. I just can't do it. I made it as far as the first 2 snakes being moved by mouth and had to stop it, just couldn't watch any more.

To whom it may concern,

Let me start by saying I used to really like Fear Factor. However, after just seeing the clip of the episode I am truly appalled. I how can you call this entertainment? If those were a pit of puppies that people had to pick up with their mouths there would be a HUGE outcry from the general public calling it animal cruelty. So how is it that you were able to get by with this? Yes, the snakes bite and hiss but do you not think that a kitten wouldn't claw and hiss if you grabbed it by some random body part with your teeth and picked it up?

Most of the animals you had in there were babies. Most, I'm sure, didn't fair well after you were done with them.

I know I speak for the entire herp community in saying I will no longer be watching anything on your station nor support your advancement for animal torture for "entertainment".

First off, great letter, I'll do same. It has also occurred to me that someone had to supply all of those snakes in the first place. I wonder who they found to supply all of those snakes? Did they have one big supplier "lend" the snakes to them? I wish we could find out where those snakes came from so we could also send letters to that person. I certainly would never lend or sell my babies to the show to be used like that, but somebody did. So that means that there is someone in the Snake Industry who supplied those animals. If lent, then they are back with the person who was willing to lend them in the first place. Shame on NBC, Shame on Fear Factor, but also Shame on whomever lent them those snakes!!!!!

LOL.. Of corse i had to read this post and then go to the links and start ranting... I hate the fact that they limit you to 500 words so i just commented 5 times I agree with all of the animal cruelity posts, but also wanted to bring up the fact that the person who posted that they have scales and would be fine, is an idiot. I have studied the anatamoy of snakes with Vets and as "herpers" we all know that they are actually very fragile. Plus if someone was to of got bitten there would be a whole mess of viewers looking at these animals as "dangerous" pets which would unlitematley effect our trade as well. If someone was to of got bitten no one else would be to blame but the producers and contestants who let it happen. Snakes esp babies are more scared of us then we are of them, it would of been a fear bite which is just natures reaction to survival. Any ways i think the whole show is ridiculous and i think the snakes should of won something for maintaining their fear and not biting anyone, instead of the pathetic crying girl who was so concerned for herself and fearful pansy boyfriend.
