nesting box sizes?

what size nesting boxes would b good for a female western to lay her eggs in?..r the 6 quart shoeboxes too big?..Or could something a lil smaller be better?

The larger nest box you can offer the better in my opinion. I know from keeping and breeding other snakes that are known to eat their eggs that offering a large nest box will keep them from eating their eggs.

A larger nest box also offers more options. A female can pick where in the nest box she wants to lay. This usually makes egg laying for the female a much smoother process.
