This is a new little girl Zulu (EBV hypo obtained from Bryan Hummel)

Which do you think is the better background, White or Black?

Hypo's are always tough to photograph. Based on mine....

The black background appears to be making the animal look much lighter than it should be.

The white background also appears to be affecting the apparent color but probably not to as high of a degree.

Is the actual color between the two but closer to what the white background shows?

The true color is closest in with the white background. I might try some different colored backgrounds until I get it right.

I think it depends which background more accurarely depicts the snakes colors. This is a good example of how much of a variation one can see in two pics of the same brb.

I agree. Use whichever background that shows the colors most accurately.
