I have had a rockin last 3 weeks! 3 ovulations by my VPI T-positive pairings!
I apologize, these pictures are not of the actual ovulation, she ovulated yesterday, and my camera battery was dead. Go figure eh? But today, her ovulation has gone down, and she has remained slightly swollen, which in my experience has worked out more successfully for getting babies. Meanwhile when the swelling disappears completely and they seem to go back to normal size, I tend to get slugs. So as of today, she looks good and I like my chances with her.
Her ovulation was big, but it wasn't the typical enormous football, more like a mini nerf football, but definately an ovulation that looked painful. So maybe it was a single ovary, and there's another ovulation yet to come in the next few days?????
She is a OT hypo 100% het VPI T-positive. She was bred by an unrelated OT Hypo 100% het VPI.

And here she is as of a few minutes ago, stretched out on the heat. She's been coiled up all morning, but she finally moved to a position where I could get a picture showing her still swelled.

So that's 3 ovulations since christmas, all VPI pairings. If all goes well, and believe me I'm keeping my fingers crossed hard, I'm looking at the following litters. (dates are according to ovulations, and may change slightly after sheds come off)
April 24- VPI T-positive Sunglow Motleys
(Hypo het VPI x visual VPI Motley)
May 3- Hypo Arabesques 100% het VPI, 50% het kahl
(Hypo arabesque het albino x visual VPI)
May 10- SUPER OT VPI Sunglows!!!!!!
(OT Hypo het x OT Hypo Het)
C'MON SPRINGTIME!!!!!!!
Thanks and best of luck to everyone breeding!
Tony
