I have had this happen a couple times. I think they want to climb up rather than down, so depending on your setup, look up. Mine managed to get out of my rack system and I found him on the very top of the unit. Also look for the warmest area in the room and the most secure area away from your view. Hope I helped. Brian D

Believe it or not, I had two baby carpets that would get out at least 3 times a week. I never lost a one. I would find them on the blinds, in my closet. I found one on my pillow. The weirdest was on my shorts. I went to put on a pair of boardshorts, started to tie the drawsting, and realized one was wrapped around the black draw. Glad he didn't get nippy at the jewels.

I had one get out before I went out of town for the week. WHne I got back, it was coiled around one of the glad plugins right on the outlet. It was warm, so the little guy just stayed there.

I agree with the post about looking up, that is where I always found them. Or wait until it is dark, turn off any fans or ambient noise in the room. Mine were in my bedroom, so I just listened while I was going to sleep. I could hear them slide past paper. We are talking about tiny hatchlings, and truthfully I never thought I would find them, but I always did.
