When writing stop the negative nelly crap and fear mongering. This doom and gloom I see so much of today here and on other forums and Facebook is sad. We as a group cant even enjoy a victory- folks we won today, learn how to savor your victory. Lets stroll and enjoy our imaginary parade sure There's next season sure but for the love of Christ today we won. RE-FRIGGIN-JOICE!!

Also if anyone is going to make mention of husbandry similarities between the animals banned and not banned or anything not helpful to our cause stick it where the sun dont shine or do so in your Facebook where you're on friends only basis. And if youre gonna negative nelly make your comments non public friends only, or private message youre thoughts if you must vent. Know no one is revealing anything new to those on this forum about boa needs or similarities of the animals banned or not banned. I think for the majority of the people on this forum can teach the USFWS as we know more than those suits do. Don't give them ammo here. It's crazy this needs saying!!!!!

Lastly in terms of the fights not over, this is also a given however many people were sure of the process as if they were lawmakers themselves or something, and they would of put their hands in the fire today we'd be without boas. Now the rhetoric by the know it alls is "they can be added still at a whim" --- Hooey! obviously no one knows a spec of how this works so lets stop acting like we do and trying to be the smartest wrong peroson in the forum and wait till USARK and their attorneys instruct on how this works moving forward. Everything else is sewing circle, barber shop gossip, and assumption that although well written and communicated with high exuberance is still DEAD WRONG,

YES IM F'n angry.

As someone who keeps NONE of the original 9 species in my personal collection, I am left pondering how exactly we won? Please explain because I am pretty sure we didn't win anything but time. We need to stop being on the defense and move to offensive positions because this is FAR from over.

As the war wages on the opposition is heading for cover to reload, we won a Decisive battle yesterday (in terms of boas) no ands ifs or buts, boas are legal after yesterday's announcement = win. as it could've been a desisive ban to boas yesterday (which is the forum you're in and all that is pertinent here). You call it we bought time, potatoe tomato, i call it a win. You look at the glass half empty I look at it half full. I shipped boas today and I'm not a felon for doing so = win. This will never end -- ever!!! We've been "checked" by our adversary and we will have to protect outselves at all times #1 rule in boxing, mma, war, or even a court room for all intents and purposes. However just like our opponent lost this battle and will eventually perhaps return for a 2nd round and stronger even, I know we will be stronger still and victory will be ours!

Did I answer your question?

Burmese are still legal. You can still own and breed them. You just can no longer import from other countries or states. Hell you can still sell them. Does that make any of this more palatable to me? No. A win is a win. It would have been defeating this action completely. Anything less to me is a defeat.

I agree with you Cindy. Dodging a bullet is not winning; disarming your assailant is winning. We are still dodging bullets. I’m not ready to rejoice in being shot at; particularly since my buddies standing next to me took direct hits.

Do I appreciate the temporary reprieve for boas, sure? But we’ll just have to agree to disagree about it being a reason for unabated celebration.

Your opinion of a win is only if 0 pythons are banned is a bit irrational, in every war even when you win there's casualties- unfortunatley thats life and we live in it. Its a real uphill climb when there's proof of burms (in lower numbers of course than they state) in the swamps. Shows like python hunters, which I've never watched, but the gist is a guy out there grabbing burms in the everglades. The mistakes of our past in terms of irresponsible owners getting hold of certain pythons or if it was the 92 Andrew storm, has caught up to us. We stop the bleeding here and not let up is what can do. We can go after an overturning of the ban too. But AGAIN I'll say it till I'm blue, it could of been 9 and it ended up as 4 technically 3. From here on we'll always have to battle, nothing more to it... Many people dedicated their lives full time these past 4 years and fought tooth and nail, blood sweat and tears and hard, spent small fortunes and we got the biggest power in the world to move their line in the sand back. I can never call that a loss. Sorry.

You're statement of agree to disagree is right.
