"What amazes me during this process and after the decision is the lackadaisical attitude that I am seeing from the Boa and Ball Python groups. These are the two biggest groups of keepers and they either didn't participate in the fight, Because their animals were not involved or they are not worried about the future because their animals were not on the list. Well SORRY guys but they are coming for you also. What is going to happen is the reverse of what you did to the big snake keepers. Once the "big's" has lost their animals and have banned snakes do you think they are going to go all in and fight for Boas and Balls? think again. this is a major loss and more to come. The bickering, the fighting, the tearing of the community is what the HSUS is trying to do. now they have chewed a chunk off. Please fight this, YOU SNAKE IS IN DANGER OF BEING BANNED." -SW

I see more posts on boa forum by concerned breeders than I do anywhere. I agree that we need thousands more involved, but boa breeders like myself and many others have done a great job getting the message out and donating time and money. I dont think Jeff Ronne has that many burms if any. Lets continue to promote in a positive way and increase our numbers one by one. Grass Roots

I think most of us feel this way. Read the posts below and I think you'll find that no one here is turning a cold shoulder to the burm, af-rock and conda crowd. We are as outraged as anyone and are supporting an all-out fight to oppose/reverse the rule change!

Boa guys thanks to Kahl, stone, Ronne, barkers, and many others banded like crazy and are the core of USARK and the outcome was boas were off. But USARK will tell you they got tons of resistance from retic, burm as the big constrictor keepers felt USARK was just looking out for the boa const. And they sided with pijac. Big mistake. The majority of ball guys hardly got involved because they're animal was not threatened and colubrids, frog, gecko, dragon----forget about it (forvthevvast majority anyway)....

Any ideas how to unite all these groups?? Suggestions please,,,,

Python breeders need to remember that we as boa breeders were on the same list as they were. Many many people took time out of their days and money out of their pockets to fight this battle and are still fighting it. And in our letters, we fought for keeping all snakes including burms etc, we never were fighting just for our boas. Lots of people keep burms and boas.

yeah that guy is clueless. i'd bet more money/time has been contributed by BOA guys than anyone else, hands DOWN.
