Help with a Dwarf Caiman?

chameleon2005 Oct 03, 2003 08:24 AM

Hi guys,
I`m toying on the idea with a dwarf Caiman and i`m trying to do as much research as possible, so im here asking any owners for some pointers!
I have 2 young kids is this a major no, no?
What would be the average adult size?
Can they be handled? i.e stop biting? or are they just a looking pet?
any other pointers will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

not a major no no..sensibal and secure enclosure should prevent accidents..mostly for looking at,no they wont stop biteing..
caiman are very aggressive...try collin stevensons paleosuchus page theres a link on the croc faq...do as much research as poss before getting it..don't forget to check your state laws too.....good luck.
