why i always carry a gun when selling...

adamjeffery Jan 24, 2012 08:06 AM

since i am literally located centrally between many major cities (buffalo,NYC,philly, detroit) i have always been cautious and leery when dealing with lots of cash or snakes. i am legally permitted in new york to carry concealed, and while i hope i never need to use it, this reinforces my intent. very close to home this one and i hope they catch the bastard.

rumor has it that it was mark hass, not sure on that yet but whom ever it is i hope they have a swift recovery.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

I agree, trust no one and carry at all times! There are too many crooks out there looking to get ahead without working for it. Protect your self at all times. Hope he gets well soon.

I always meet at the front doors of a gas station but my switch that to the local police station parking lot...or Donut shop...same amount of police.
Speedy recovery wished to Mark.

LAIR OF DRAGONS

Hi Adam,

I treat all meetings to drop off snakes as deliveries, just like if Fed-Ex or UPS is taking care of it. As such, they are treated like any other, and are expected to be pre-paid. I have exceptions of course for friends and known customers whom I trust, but joe-public will not get a meeting unless orders are pre-paid. If folks aren't willing to go that route, then they don't want my animals.

This way, the person with the cash is also protected and they won't get rolled in the parking lot by some scumbag who set up the meeting under false pretenses. If the customer is unhappy with the snake at the point of delivery (never happened), their money will be returned immediately (once i get home). The risk involved is absolutely not worth it for this breeder and it shouldn't be worth it for the customer.

I hope this dude recovers quickly.

Will

...guns are good...if you pull first
...guns can be bad...

I like the pay first idea...no matter what...make them pay with Paypal upfront...

meet in crowded places...Cops are a good idea .....they all don't like donuts...take along a friend riding shotgun...literally if needed....

...Mark is a cool guy...don't know him real well but talked with him a few times...always good guy...

so...???...do they know who shot him??? is it the guy with whom the deal was made?...should be fairly easy to find him...there will be texts and emails...calls...even with fake names he should be fairly traceable....?.....find him , ,shoot him ....!

there was a guy in here asking about Mark awhile ago...you there yet ???.....

....always scum in this buissness...too many...alot of very good people ,,,but too many scum....they steal at shows all the time....and I know of another guy robbed at gunpoint while making a snake transaction.....

..good luck...heal brother....

((You read this Mark...let us know if you need cages cleaned ???...))...us you know ....

Just got home from work, and can't believe what I'm reading. Last snakes I bought were from Mark; just delivered 10 days ago. And they are amazing. Don't know him really. Actually, made the purchase on the strength of JYohe vouching for him b/c I couldn't find hardly anything online about him. But it was one of those perfect transactions, clean, crisp, no ambiguity, no worries. Solid guy. And have you seen what he's doing with SS crosses? Out of my price range, but crazy cool! This is a crap thing to have happened to a good guy -- I wish him the very best...Dave

what freaks me out...

you said...after buying snakes from Mark...that ---"I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger if it wasn't for your recommendation".....

you see the future?....

when will I die brother???.....

......hopefully Mark is as ok as he can be....and the guy responsible is already caught....???...

any updates?......

Couldn't figure how you got that from my post. Then went back to my email, and you're right, that is kind of creepy.

Have they determined yet what just exactly happened?

JYohe Jan 26, 2012 02:48 PM

creepy it is....

I have no idea what's what....I am not in the loop , any loop at all , let alone Mark's....

I wish they'd post who shot him ....let us all know...people gotta know the person....

.......pics would be cool too......
