. . . I can't seem to catch up with the curve when it comes to the recessive morphs and I can't afford to just buy my way into the projects, so this is what I've been doing - trying to create my own projects out of designer leos.
I'm working with different kinds of stripes - some genetic - but most are just a process of line breeding for the look I want. It's slow - but fun.
I'm also working with hyper-melanistic - a fancy term for "ugly" (LOL). I want to get as much black in a leo as I can.
I think a lot of people are missing out on playing around with normals/designers/high yellows and patterns. For instance - wouldnt it be cool to actually have a circle back that's a bold circle as an adult? Or how about cool head patterns - like the bold bandits RT came up with. I have a male with a cool bandit pattern which I think is a dominant trait, because he passes it to nearly all the leos he breeds with.
Anyway - this is my opnion. Have fun!!!

Had a thread that got buried called 'Color Blind' ...
I'm just getting back into leos after a very long hiatus. I'm also primarily interested in patterning normal morphs. And as you mention powergeckos, I'm interested in head patterning - sadly I've been out of the loop so long, I don't know what the 'bandit' patterning is? One of the females I picked up has markings on her head almost like a skull. I couldn't get the idea of a 'Deathshead Leopard' out of my mind
Already been done?
I hope to focus on normals, jungles, and snow leopards.
i dont know much about them, but i think snow leopards are great looking animals....
i also have my own thing, most peaple try to make something everyone else has made ,i.e.rainwater patternless albinos but dont get me wrong they are pretty, but I worked hard this summer and raised a few bucks and bought me my project geckos, they will me a Tremper Giant Patternless Albino(Tremper strain)and if i can aquire some more $$$ i may be produceing a Tremper Giant Blazing Blizard (Tremper strain) and the list of projects goes on to 12 different ones, the hardest thing is getting more $$$ to buy stuff (i'm only a teen)
