Mexican lined pines or southern pines

redrott Feb 03, 2012 05:39 PM

Trying to decide which one I want to work with next. Wish I could do both at once but I can't. So anybody got an opinion?

I would do Southerns. I have a large collection of Pines, and have both Southerns, and Lined Pines. I handle, and enjoy the Southerns all the time, but rarely handle the Mexicans.

I really like the "look" of the Mexicans, and the size that they reach, but they are shy, and get pissy when messed with.

By far Southern Pines are my favorites.

Well for now I went with the mexicans I got a pair. Female is a little pissy but male is pretty cool. So far I think they are awesome snakes and look forward to growing them up. Will have to do southerns next.

Well, they should be BIG at least if not tractable I have one '09 female "linnie" and she is pretty jumpy. Finally showing signs of calming down though and I'm hoping for the best. Curiously she is a slow grower and only about 54" now, so this particular one may not go mega ...we'll see.
