I keep Haitian boas - the less expensive version of Dominicans - but have read up and researched DMBs. I believe that chocolate Dominicans can produce red offspring. I'm not sure how the genetics work, whether it's gene expression being turned on or a recessive trait - meaning two chocolates could produce reds if red is a recessive trait and the chocolates carry the recessive genes or it may be environmental factors turning the red pigmentation gene on causing it to be expressed (this comes to mind because Tom Crutchfield has it posted on his site that some of his chocolate dominicans have become red adults).
