Black Head Action

jwoolard Feb 10, 2012 08:39 PM

Just thought I'd share a preview of my RDR Black Head projects for 2012.
Sorry - these are all shots from my phone (mostly at night while looking for locks)

Black head het hypo x lesser (just a cool contrast shot)

Black head het hypo x mojave ...this is the pairing that Markus made famous in 2011

Black head het hypo x pinstripe (I love this combo - thanks for the idea Ralph)

Black head het hypo x spinner het hypo
I may have been too late on this one as she's been with my hypo enchi a lot. I figured I'd throw the BH in the mix and try for a double sired clutch.

Black head het hypo x yellow belly
One of my favorite BH combos and TONS of potential

Looking forward to a great 2012 season for all of us

Rock On!!!

Hi Ralph,
I am letting him work his magic and hoping I can get at least a couple of these girls to go. He mostly gets rotated on a few females and I've only put him with the spinner once and didn't observe a lock. He loves to eat and gets plenty of rest betwern pairings, so I can't ask for much more than that.
I can't wait to see what BH combos you crank out this year.
Best of luck on all of your projects!

Best of luck John - what an awesome project!

Thanks, Dan. I'm really excited about the possibilities that are out there for this morph. With the few things I know people are doing, and the stuff Ralph will make - it should be a really interesting year for the black head.
Best of luck with all of your projects too.
Regards,
John

Thats awesome! I've got my BH on the below, but am open to suggestions...

(2) Mojaves
(1) Spider
(2) Bumblebees
(1) Fire

I also have a couple pinstripes I could throw him on, but right now I've got them on my killerbee. Any shots of a pin/BH combo out there? Thanks guys.

I didn't know you were in the project, Reid, but cool stuff you have working. Sounds like some good pairings. Ralph has made the pin BH combo and he has pics on his site. Hope we can see some shots of your BH pairings too.
Best of luck with your season.
