Remember these 2? Check out how dark the female is getting. She actually looks darker in person.
First two are the female last two are of the male.

Looking good....You think they'll breed this year or will you try next year with them?
They should throw some nice granites.....
And it seems females darken up more often than males.......
My ultra granite adult female mex mex is dark now too......

Next year for sure, still a little small for this year. That would be sweet if they threw some granites. Sweet, do you have a pic of your granite?

I don't know but I'm working on all that and more...lol
Both the hypo-e and the black genes are ontogenetic.
Until I can figure out what they'll look like as adults I will be hoarding them.....lol
I am breeding my killer hypo-e male to that female ultra granite I pictured above this year.......my black x granite pair will be breeding this year as well as Shannon's killer black male Mex Mex and my hypo-e female again......if I had another ultra granite adult female I'd pair her up with that black male as well......

Very cool pair !Good luck with them!
And "granits"....are awesome!
Do you keep the mexmex sperated or as pair?
Thanks, I keep all my snakes separated.
-----
Jimmy Tintle
I keep them separated for a few reasons but not the reasons that some may think. My reasons are for genetic and ease of cleaning. I think it is easier and I can keep track of who is eating and who is not. I do keep the male in with the female 4 days a week during breeding season. I give the female sometime to digest her meal before he goes back in. I only have had one problem with doing it this way. Do you have one male to one female? or groups?

Thank you!
Do you feed all your animals separately or together?
-----
Jimmy Tintle
Some of my snakes can be feed together others have to be seperated....they all act individual.
>>Some of my snakes can be feed together others have to be seperated....they all act individual.
Exactly! Mine are all different..... You learn which ones too watch closely and which ones will tolerate one another.....
